Who is Ashes Kell anyway?

Ashes Kell is a middle-aged Elezen male who can often be found loitering near a major city hub. He'll often leaning against a convenient wall. A smile usually adorns his face. Compliments readily leave his lips to those who pass by as he wishes them well. He'll do his best to lighten up their day and bring a smile to their face.If engaged in a conversation, he'll be attentive, seeking to learn more about the person he is talking with, as well as learning the ways of the world as seen by them. His polite and friendly demeanor seek to make all those he talks with comfortable. At times, a deep, lingering sadness may briefly appear in his eyes before he recomposes himself, reflecting that not all has been well in Ashes's life or past.A trademark of Ashes is that he'll often have a camera at the ready, seeking to capture the beauty in nature and life. He'll snap a picture of his friends in passing, seeking to capture their beauty or creativity and record it eternally, then share it with them so they have a record of their brilliance.

- Ashes will often be "guarding" the wall in Ul'dah, for the wall very well isn't going to hold itself up. While he's doing so, perhaps you want to get a round of the latest gossip, for Ashes tends to be very observant and keeps a keen eye on the happenings in the Sands. Or perhaps you just want to get to know Ashes himself.- Seems that Ashes's gaze has fallen upon you. A compliment most assuredly follows. Could be about your eyes, might be the way you are dressed. Ashes is very friendly while perhaps a little reserved. Do you see where the conversation goes?- Perhaps you notice the camera that happened to make it's way into Ashes's hands. Very few know of it, but Ashes may allude to it within a conversation. And he seemingly has a way of getting things for various people, no matter what side of the law they might find themselves on.-These are simply a few ideas, for Ashes is rather approachable and more than willing to approach most storylines that pop up.

No, not really any of those things. Well, I am a man, but alas. I'm Ryan, I'm 37, I'm a father, and I'm really just looking for friendly chatter and to write stories and develop characters. I prefer those I write with to be 21+ years of age and I won't write with anyone under the age of 18. I'm extremely approachable in game, feel free to reach out, and I am more than happy to answer any questions.I play a lot of other games other than FF14 - I'll often be semi-afk on FF14 while doing so. I'll do my best to respond to tells in a timely manner, though I will often miss things in /say or /em if I am not already previous made aware of them and we do not have RP already underway. I try to avoid Discord RP - my ADHD makes it harder to focus on the RP if responses are drawn out over hours.Please understand that IC =/= OOC. I am not my character. You are not your character. I'm friendly OOC as well and that can translate into a friendship and playing other games should it occur organically, but I ask that you respect any boundaries I place because I will absolutely respect any boundaries you put forth. I do my best to communicate both IC and OOC, and simply ask that you do the same. I want everyone to have fun.As for the RP itself, I view RP as a team game. The objective is for all writers to be comfortable and have fun while developing characters and stories. While the characters themselves might be uncomfortable or awkward at times, my goal is that the writer is ever comfortable and enjoying themselves. As such, I can mirror my reply length to match yours. Semi-para, para, long form, I'll respond in kind. I tend to prefer paragraph length posts to give more detail, but can easily give more or less depending on what the situation calls for..For those of you who are long-form enjoyers, I absolutely love doing 2.5+ paragraphs should the situation call for it.I'm okay with darker/mature themes, but please give me a heads-up first if we've not RP'd before. Ashes isn't approachable for ERP as an example and I would prefer to save both of us the time if that's what your intention is.
